Dr. Gary Olson, Chiropractor in Commack, NY
Born and raised in Commack, Long Island, Dr. Olson has always had a passion to help those in the greater Commack area of New York live a healthier and better life. After graduating from Commack High School South he attended Nassau Community College where as a perpetual Dean’s List student he graduated with a Liberal Arts Degree. Furthering his education, he attended the Long Island University in Greenvale on a scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He started a Personal Fitness Training Business in 1991 after obtaining a Personal Fitness Instructor Certificate from the American Council on Exercise. While running his personal fitness business he realized that he could further help people by continuing his education in the health industry, and applied to the Logan University, College of Chiropractic. After graduating with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Olson received his license to practice Chiropractic in New York State and returned to Commack to open his practice, The Long Island Spine and Sports Injury Center, in 1999.
Since starting his practice in 1999, Dr. Olson has also become certified in Active Release Techniques (2000) and is one of the few highly skilled practitioners of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.) in Long Island. Due to his background in chiropractic, physical therapy, fitness training and A.R.T., Dr. Olson is uniquely qualified to help individuals who are dealing with accidents and injuries, and has treated thousands of patients dealing with sports injuries, accident and whiplash injuries, personal injuries, worker’s compensation, breast cancer patients, soft tissue injuries, and more.
